Who is Ellie Morgan?

Ellie is a left winger for the Denver Landsharks - a minor league hockey team. She’s played through college, and has been making a modest living in the minor league. She coaches the local girls hockey team too. After 2 years on the Landsharks, she is eligible for the WFHL draft. But she’s skeptical that she’ll make the cut since they are only choosing 98 players from the pool of 500.

Her best friend and biggest fan is Lexi, who is far more convinced Ellie will be drafted. Lexi never played hockey, but they’ve been friends since childhood despite now living cities apart.

Ellie lives with her orange cat Muffin - a diva with a pink noise. She unwinds to true crime documentaries and forgets to water her plants. It’s a quiet life off the ice.

Getting drafted would mean a new city, a new apartment, a new team, and a whole new style of play.

But first she will have to be one of the 98.
